Los Angeles Jazz Pianist Michael Frost has been playing in Los Angeles clubs and venues for over 20 years. His specialties are Smooth Jazz sounds along with The Great American Songbook of classic jazz standards. He plays regularly for Weddings, Corporate Events, Private Parties, and Country Club Holiday events and brunches as well as in Nordstrom Department stores.

Michael is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin in Madison , receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music and Theatre. He was a member of the acclaimed Dada Loco band which toured the Big Ten campuses and Stanford University in the spirit of the sound of Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart.

Radio City



Upon graduating from the University he started his next Rock and Roll band, Radio City in San Francisco, Touring the band all over the Bay area in search of another record deal.
His lead guitar player, Jim Campillongo, is currently playing on Norah Jones’ album The Willie Boys and on her tour.

Michael appeared in the George Lucas Film “More American Graffiti” playing the piano in the fictional Rock Band “Purple Haze” opposite Candy Clark, Scott Glenn and the legendary Tex Mex rock and roller from Austin Texas, Doug Sahm.

He is a published songwriter for ASCAP. He recently performed on the NBC hit show Parenthood with Craig T Nelson and Dax Sheppard.

At the urging of many friends and family Michael eventually went back to his Jazz roots and began playing the classic American jazz standards on the events circuits. If you desire to have professional smooth piano jazz sounds and Broadway show tunes in the background for your Wedding and engagement parties, as well as private house and garden parties throughout the calendar year, corporate events, or for all of your special events, dinners and brunches at your Country Club, as well as the many season Holiday parties Michael will provide the great ambiance and mood that will delight you and your guests.

He will provide his professional piano keyboard and amplified equipment if there is no piano on your premises.
